Greenville, we love you!

Wanted to share some photos of our space at the Indie Craft Parade in Greenville, SC. We had a great time, and so happy to say our first show was a huge success! Many thanks to Greenville and the hardworking ladies, (Erin and Elizabeth) who put Indie Craft parade together. We hope to see you again next year!

Sneak peek of our booth and new work!

Hope everyone is having a great August so far! We've been busy as bees working towards making lots of new stuff for the upcoming shows this fall. Here's a little sneak peek of our booth (a work in progress ;)

In other news, been thinking about the beach a lot lately..maybe it's the unusual summer heat here in the mountains. One of our favorite spots on the planet is Big Sur.. a lovely place where the mountains and sea meet, and the setting for my latest painting "Adalaide". Prints are now available in the shop. The original will be ready to ship in a couple of weeks :)

More coming soon!

studio peek!

Wanted to share a little peek of some works in progress :) Still missing the oil but finally starting to feel "one" with watercolor. When working with oil I paint on the wall, so working at a table is something new to me. It's starting to feel less awkward which is good! I love working under the window though..it's really inspiring to look up and see the most beautiful flowering trees and blue skies.

Really happy with how "The Falconer" is coming together..it will be the first piece featuring a boy that I have put in the shop. Aiming to have it finished in the next couple of weeks!

More updates coming soon :) Happy spring!

Stealing from artists is a sad thing to do

Well, I hate to make a post like this but the last few days have been just awful. I have had a few kind people inform me that my images have been stolen to make cheaply made knock-offs of our wearable art.
If you see anything that looks like any of the images below please do not buy. Alison Disse and now another Etsy shop have marketed them as their own design without any consent from us. This makes me unbelievably sad.

The only authentic Marisol Spoon jewelry (aside from our collaboration with Polarity) is made by my husband, Jason and I. We take great time and care in making each piece by hand. It is not made in a low quality mass-production style like the images above.

Thank you so much to the kind people who informed us that this was happening. It's comforting to know that other eyes are watching out for us.

Now on Facebook and other updates!

I've been trying for the last hour to figure out how to add a like button to the blog..with no such luck. If anyone knows how to do this I would love some advice :) In the mean time here's a link~ Marisol Spoon Facebook Page

We will be adding all kinds of photos and updates there soon so please join us!

Updates on new paintings are coming soon. Really excited about a new series inspired by some of our favorite folk singers. While searching for inspiration I came across this lovely video..enjoy!
