New work!

Finally a new piece and blog post!

I've decided to put aside the oils for a bit to focus on watercolor and gouache. We are hoping to start a family soon, so going the non toxic route for a while. I have to say I miss oil so much, but I am slowly getting the hang of working with these two water based paints..they couldn't handle more differently really!

We are planning on hanging on to this original for a bit, but there are now prints of a Little Red Riding Hood themed piece "Lost in the Wildwood" in the shop! More new work is coming very soon..

Hope everyone's days are getting a little longer and warmer!

  2. I love this new piece-love the darkness and love the red and beautiful fleurs coming through! I have been having a hard winter of not being able to create as much as I usually do-let's hope that spring will help!

  3. I am in love with your work.

The girls you paint remind me of my daughter. She's got bright sparkly eyes, round cheeks and a little button nose. I just gave her bangs so now she looks even more like your paintings. Do you do custom pieces?

Niki, I'm not taking on any commissions at the moment (want to spend some time getting used to watercolor first) but check back in a few months if you like. Thanks for you interest! :)

    Happy spring!xoxo
